Terms & Conditions | FuFu Gadi
These terms explain the responsibilities, payment rules, usage conditions and cancellation policies that apply to FuFu Gadi self drive cars, chauffeur-driven vehicles, Force Urbania, Tempo Traveller and private tour packages.
This page provides FuFu Gadi’s general terms. The written quotation, booking voucher, invoice, vehicle handover form or signed agreement issued for a specific booking will take priority where it contains a different vehicle, price, inclusion, limit or payment schedule.
General booking conditions
These conditions apply to all bookings unless a service-specific quotation or agreement states otherwise.
Accurate customer information
The person making the booking must provide correct contact, identity, travel and billing information. FuFu Gadi may refuse or cancel a booking where verification fails, documents appear invalid or important information has been misrepresented.
Price and payment
A booking is confirmed only after the required advance is received and acknowledged. Remaining payment must be made according to the schedule stated in the quotation or booking voucher.
Changes requested by the customer
Date, route, vehicle, pickup point, hotel or passenger changes remain subject to availability and revised pricing. A confirmed booking cannot be transferred to another customer without written approval.
Reporting and waiting time
Customers should be ready at the agreed pickup time. Delay may reduce available sightseeing or rental time. Additional waiting, late-night movement or rescheduling may attract charges where it affects vehicle or driver duty.
Self drive car rental terms
Self drive customers are responsible for the vehicle from handover until FuFu Gadi completes the return inspection.
Eligibility and documents
- A valid original Driving Licence and one acceptable government identity document are required.
- Additional address, travel or employment verification may be requested where necessary.
- Only drivers approved and recorded by FuFu Gadi may drive the vehicle.
Rental payment and security deposit
The remaining rental amount and security deposit are payable before or at handover. The deposit is not an advance against rent and may be held against fuel, toll, challan, damage, cleaning, late return or other unsettled amounts.
The customer remains responsible for FASTag usage, tolls, traffic challans and penalties attributable to the rental period, even if they are received after the vehicle is returned or the security deposit is refunded.
Pickup and return locations
| Location | Indicative one-way charge | Important note |
|---|---|---|
| FuFu Gadi office | Free | Default pickup and return point. |
| Guwahati Airport | ₹700 | Subject to delivery timing and prior confirmation. |
| Guwahati Railway Station | ₹300–₹500 | Charge depends on timing and operational arrangement. |
| Kamakhya Railway Station | ₹500 | Advance confirmation required. |
| Doorstep delivery | ₹200–₹700 | Depends on distance, timing and staff availability. |
The vehicle must be returned at the confirmed location. Changing the return point without approval may attract repositioning and staff charges.
Fuel, FASTag and kilometre use
- Fuel is borne by the customer. Return the vehicle with approximately the same fuel level as received. Verifiable excess fuel will be assessed using the MID or fuel-level record and refunded up to a maximum of ₹500. A fuel shortage will be calculated and charged using the vehicle’s average mileage and kilometres travelled, based on available MID and trip records.
- FASTag use and recharge or settlement should follow the instructions given at handover.
- The standard allowance is 250 km per rental day on average. Extra-kilometre charges are vehicle-specific and shown before confirmation.
Rental period, extra hours and extension
Rental duration is calculated on a 24-hour basis. Extra hours are generally charged at the daily rental divided by 12. Where the delay exceeds five hours, a full additional day may be charged.
Extensions require prior approval and payment. Continuing beyond the confirmed return time without approval may affect another booking and attract additional charges.
A delayed pickup by the customer does not automatically extend the confirmed return time. Failure to collect the vehicle within the permitted period without informing FuFu Gadi may be treated as a no-show. An unauthorised extension may attract additional rental, recovery, staff and operational charges.
Damage liability and Accident Protection Plan
Without APP, eligible accidental damage liability is generally capped at ₹49,000. With APP, eligible liability is capped at ₹2,000.
APP does not remove responsibility for excluded damage, prohibited use, traffic offences, missing items or negligence.
APP does not cover, among other things:
- Tyre cut, tyre sidewall damage or wheel damage.
- Clutch damage, overheating or mechanical damage caused by misuse.
- Interior stains, smoking burns, seat damage or missing accessories.
- Loss or damage of the key, smart key, documents or vehicle equipment.
- Waterlogging, off-roading, racing or use on prohibited roads.
- Drunk driving, reckless driving, unauthorised driver or illegal activity.
Roadside Assistance (RSA) and mechanical breakdown support
Every active self-drive booking includes FuFu Gadi trip-assistance coordination for an unexpected mechanical failure arising from normal vehicle operation. This support applies where the problem was not caused or worsened by an accident, wrong fuel, clutch misuse, negligent driving, waterlogging, tyre or wheel damage, prohibited-road use, unauthorised repair, or continued driving after a warning.
- Stop at a safe location and contact FuFu Gadi immediately. Share the live location, dashboard warning, photographs or video and a clear description of the symptoms so that assistance can be arranged quickly.
- For a minor issue that can be rectified locally, FuFu Gadi may provide remote guidance or direct the customer to a suitable nearby mechanic or workshop. FuFu Gadi will settle directly or reimburse a reasonable pre-approved qualifying repair expense against a valid bill or receipt.
- For a qualifying major mechanical breakdown, FuFu Gadi will make reasonable efforts to arrange a suitable replacement vehicle. In normal operations, a replacement is arranged in approximately 90% of such cases, subject to the location, road access, time of day, weather, vehicle availability and fleet position.
- A replacement may be a different make, model, colour, fuel type, transmission or feature variant, but will be selected to remain reasonably suitable for the passenger count and intended trip.
- Where a suitable replacement cannot be arranged within a reasonable period, FuFu Gadi will refund the unused base rental value for the unserved rental period from the time the vehicle became unavailable, after reviewing the breakdown and service already used.
For a qualifying mechanical defect, the approved mechanic, towing or recovery cost will be handled by FuFu Gadi. The unused rental refund does not include fuel, toll, parking, permits, accommodation, missed flights, alternate transport, loss of time or other indirect or consequential expenses, unless FuFu Gadi agrees otherwise in writing.
Accident, customer-caused damage or warning light
- Stop safely and contact FuFu Gadi immediately after an accident, unusual sound, warning light, puncture or suspected damage.
- Do not continue driving where it may increase the damage, invalidate assistance or create a safety risk.
- Do not authorise repairs, towing or parts replacement without FuFu Gadi’s approval, except for immediate action genuinely required to protect life or prevent a greater safety risk.
- Promptly provide photographs, videos, live location and a written account, and cooperate with FuFu Gadi, the police and insurer. An FIR or GD entry must be filed where required.
A replacement vehicle is not guaranteed where the rented vehicle becomes immovable because of an accident, customer-caused damage, misuse or an APP-excluded event, whether or not APP was selected. APP limits only eligible accidental-damage liability and does not cover onward travel, alternate transport, accommodation, loss of time or other consequential expenses.
A genuine mechanical breakdown that is not caused or worsened by the customer will be handled under the Roadside Assistance policy above. Costs caused by misuse, continued driving after a warning, wrong fuel, clutch misuse, tyre or wheel damage, waterlogging or negligence are payable by the customer.
Travel area and vehicle monitoring
The intended travel route must be disclosed. Travel into restricted areas, across international borders or on roads unsuitable for the vehicle requires prior written approval. Permits, entry fees and local charges are payable by the customer unless expressly included in the booking.
The vehicle may use GPS, MID and other telematics for location, distance, speed, fuel-related assessment, safety, theft prevention and operational support. Tampering with or disabling such equipment is prohibited.
Prohibited use and penalties
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Racing, speed testing, commercial carriage, towing, off-road use or illegal activity.
- Smoking, drinking alcohol or carrying prohibited substances inside the vehicle.
- Taking the vehicle to restricted or unsafe locations without written approval.
Over-speeding, traffic challans, parking penalties, towing, police charges and other violations during the rental are payable by the customer. A ₹1,000 contractual charge may apply for speeding above 110 km/h or smoking/drinking inside the vehicle, apart from actual loss or official penalties.
Cleanliness and return condition
The vehicle should be returned without avoidable interior dirt, stains, food waste, tobacco residue, pet damage or missing items. A basic interior-cleaning charge of ₹500 may apply; repair or replacement is charged separately at actual cost.
Vehicle condition, fuel level, odometer reading, accessories and documents may be recorded through photographs, videos, checklists or digital records at handover and return. Any discrepancy should be reported before the trip begins. FuFu Gadi is not responsible for personal belongings left inside the vehicle.
Cancellation and rescheduling
Where the booking uses the ₹999 Reserve Now option, the amount is refundable when cancellation is received at least 96 hours before the confirmed pickup time. It is non-refundable inside 96 hours.
Rescheduling, postponement or other payments are governed by the policy displayed during booking or stated in the confirmation. Availability and fare difference may apply.
Chauffeur-Driven Vehicle Terms Cab, Force Urbania and Tempo Traveller
These terms apply equally to all FuFu Gadi chauffeur-driven bookings, including sedan and SUV cabs, Innova Crysta, Force Urbania and Tempo Traveller. The selected circuit, confirmed itinerary, vehicle category, travel dates, inclusions and driver-duty plan together define the service covered by the booking.
Quotation, advance and final payment
The required booking advance and payment schedule are stated in the written quotation or online booking summary. The vehicle is blocked only after the advance is received, verified and confirmed by FuFu Gadi. The remaining payment must be completed within the agreed schedule.
What the confirmed price includes
The booking confirmation will state whether fuel, driver allowance, toll, parking, interstate tax, permits, local vehicles, accommodation and other charges are included. Any item not specifically stated as included is payable separately.
Circuit-based fare and included itinerary
Chauffeur-driven fares are based on the circuit selected during online booking or stated in the written quotation. The suggested online options are designed around the selected travel dates, trip duration, pickup and drop points, practical routing and vehicle category. The fare is therefore not calculated as an open-ended per-kilometre rental unless the quotation specifically says otherwise.
The confirmed circuit covers the route, overnight stops and sightseeing movement reasonably required to complete that itinerary. The order of sightseeing may be adjusted by FuFu Gadi or the driver for road conditions, traffic, weather, local restrictions, permit timings, attraction opening hours or operational efficiency, without changing the essential confirmed circuit.
Additional destinations and circuit changes
Destinations, detours, repeated local movement, additional pickup points, additional drops, extra overnight stops or route changes outside the confirmed circuit are not automatically included. They remain subject to road suitability, permits, available time, driver-duty limits and vehicle availability.
Where an additional movement is feasible, FuFu Gadi will communicate the revised charge before it is undertaken whenever reasonably possible. The customer may accept the revised charge or continue with the original confirmed circuit.
Driver-duty window and maximum duty hours
The usual operating window is from approximately 6 AM to 7 PM. Total driver duty is limited to a maximum of 12 hours in a day, including reporting, driving, waiting, sightseeing halts, meal breaks, refuelling and other trip-related duty.
An earlier start, movement after 7 PM or a longer operating window requires prior approval and remains subject to the driver's available duty hours, road and weather conditions, parking, local rules and safety considerations. Additional driver allowance or operational charges may apply.
Shopping, dinner and personal movement after sightseeing
Once the day's confirmed sightseeing is completed and the vehicle has reached the final hotel or drop point, further movement for shopping, dinner, markets or personal work is not automatically included in the circuit.
Such movement is entirely subject to the driver's remaining duty hours and decision, as well as traffic, parking, road safety and the next day's reporting schedule. It may attract an additional charge. Payment of an additional charge does not guarantee movement where the duty-hour or safety limit has already been reached.
Customer delay and use of available time
Late reporting, extended meal stops, delayed hotel departure or time spent at one attraction may reduce the time available for later sightseeing. Customer delay does not extend the 7 PM operating window or the maximum 12-hour driver-duty limit.
The driver will make reasonable efforts to cover the confirmed circuit, but locations may need to be shortened, reordered or omitted where delay, traffic, closure, weather, permit timing or safety makes completion impractical.
Passenger count, seating and luggage
The customer must disclose the actual passenger count, child-seat requirement and expected luggage before confirmation. Seating capacity does not always represent practical luggage capacity. FuFu Gadi may recommend a larger cab, Urbania or Tempo Traveller where the selected vehicle would be unsuitable for the group or luggage.
Pickup and drop points
Pickup and drop points must be confirmed before the trip. Changes in reporting location or final drop remain subject to operational feasibility, available duty time and revised pricing.
Delays caused by the customer may reduce available travel or sightseeing time and do not automatically extend the agreed driver-duty period.
Driver, vehicle and guest conduct
The driver will operate the vehicle in accordance with applicable road, safety and duty rules. Guests must not pressure the driver to overspeed, use unsafe roads, violate permit restrictions or continue movement where road or weather conditions are unsafe.
Smoking, drinking alcohol, carrying prohibited substances, damaging the interior or misbehaving with the driver is not permitted. Cleaning, repair, official penalties and actual losses may be charged to the customer.
Closures, weather and circumstances outside reasonable control
Attraction closure, permit refusal, landslide, road blockade, political restriction, severe weather, local authority instruction or another event outside reasonable control may prevent a location from being covered. FuFu Gadi and the driver may provide a practical alternative within the available circuit, time and operating conditions.
A refund is not automatically due where the vehicle, driver and booked circuit service remain available but a destination becomes inaccessible for such reasons. Any material unused service controlled by FuFu Gadi will be reviewed fairly.
Breakdown or operational failure
FuFu Gadi will arrange reasonable assistance and, where reasonably possible, a replacement vehicle of a similar or suitable category. A replacement may be a different model or seating configuration while remaining suitable for the confirmed passenger requirement.
Where replacement is not reasonably possible, the unused service value may be adjusted or refunded after review. FuFu Gadi is not responsible for indirect loss, missed activities or consequential expenses arising from circumstances beyond reasonable operational control.
Cancellation of a chauffeur-driven booking
| Cancellation received | Refund of booking advance |
|---|---|
| 30 days or more before pickup | 100% |
| 15–29 days before pickup | 75% |
| 7–14 days before pickup | 50% |
| 0–6 days before pickup | No refund |
Non-refundable permits, hotel, parking, third-party, driver-positioning or vehicle repositioning costs already incurred may be deducted from any eligible refund.
A service-specific quotation may provide a different cancellation schedule. In that case, the written quotation or booking confirmation will take priority.
North East tour package terms
Tour packages may combine transport, hotels, permits, safaris and other travel services. The final itinerary and written quotation define the confirmed package.
Custom itinerary and route planning
FuFu Gadi may suggest changes where an itinerary appears rushed, unsafe or impractical. Route order, sightseeing and overnight locations may be adjusted for road conditions, weather, permits, daylight, hotel availability or group comfort.
Hotels, rooms and meals
- Hotel category, room type, meal plan and occupancy are stated in the quotation.
- Standard hotel check-in and check-out rules apply. Early check-in and late checkout are not guaranteed.
- Equivalent accommodation may be offered where a confirmed hotel becomes unavailable for reasons beyond FuFu Gadi’s control.
Permits and traveller documents
Travellers must supply clear, correct documents within the requested time. FuFu Gadi may assist with permit applications, but approval, timing and restrictions remain under the relevant authority.
Safari and activity bookings
Safari zone, timing, vehicle, guide and activity availability are controlled by the relevant operator or authority. Wildlife sightings, weather and specific zones cannot be guaranteed.
Package payment
A package advance is required to block vehicles, hotels and third-party services. The amount and instalment schedule are stated in the quotation. Full payment is generally required before trip start.
Package cancellation
| Cancellation received | Refund of FuFu Gadi package advance |
|---|---|
| 60 days or more before arrival | Full refund after non-refundable third-party deductions |
| 30–59 days before arrival | 50% of eligible advance |
| 15–29 days before arrival | 25% of eligible advance |
| 7–14 days before arrival | 5% of eligible advance |
| 0–6 days before arrival | No refund |
Hotels, permits, safaris, flights, activities and other third-party services may have stricter cancellation terms. Their actual deductions apply.
Weather, closures and unforeseen events
Northeast travel can be affected by weather, landslides, road closures, strikes, local restrictions, permit delays, floods, flight disruption and other events outside FuFu Gadi’s control.
Route or service changes
FuFu Gadi may alter the route, timing, sightseeing, hotel or vehicle where required for safety or operational reasons. Reasonable alternatives will be offered where possible.
Additional and non-recoverable costs
Extra hotel nights, local vehicles, revised permits, alternative transport or route-related expenses caused by an unforeseen event are payable by the customer unless the written package specifically includes them.
Refund assessment
Refunds for unused services are assessed after deducting amounts already paid or committed to vehicles, hotels, permits, safaris and other suppliers.
